Last updated: 25 October 2026

Qanitoon ("we", "us", "our") is a UAE-based online store selling satin prayer sets through qanitoon.ae, in English and Arabic. We respect your privacy and handle your personal data with care. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our store or place an order, how we use it, who it may be shared with, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to be consistent with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL) and the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (Saudi PDPL), which apply to customers in those countries.

1. Information we collect

  • Order and contact details you provide at checkout through Shopify: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number, and the details of your order.
  • Payment confirmation details, such as the payment status and the last digits of a card. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Messages you send us, for example through Instagram, when you ask about an order, an exchange or a cancellation.
  • Technical and usage information collected automatically when you browse the store, such as your device type, browser, approximate location, pages viewed and referring website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

  • To process, confirm, prepare and deliver your order, and to keep you updated about it.
  • To handle cancellations, exchanges, refunds and customer enquiries.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and to keep our store secure.
  • To understand how the store is used and to improve our website, products and service.
  • To send you news or offers about Qanitoon, only where you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

3. Our legal basis

We process your personal data where it is needed to carry out your order, where you have given your consent, where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary for our legitimate interests in running a secure and well-functioning store, provided these do not override your rights.

4. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted parties who help us run the store, and only to the extent needed:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store and processes checkout and order information.
  • Payment providers, which process your payment securely under their own security standards and privacy policies.
  • Delivery and courier companies, which receive your name, address and phone number so that they can deliver your order in the Gulf countries, the United Kingdom or Europe.
  • Analytics and advertising tools that help us understand store traffic and measure our marketing.
  • Government or regulatory authorities, where the law requires us to disclose information.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your shopping cart working, remember your language and preferences, keep checkout secure, and measure how visitors use our store. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the store may not work properly without them. Where required, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.

6. Storage outside your country

Our store platform and some of our service providers operate servers in other countries. As a result, your information may be stored or processed outside the country where you live. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data remains protected in line with applicable data protection laws.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy, including to complete your order, handle exchanges and queries, and comply with legal and accounting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. Our checkout runs on Shopify's secure, encrypted platform. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not send us card numbers, passwords or identity document details in messages.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • know what personal data we hold about you and request a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data or restrict how we use it, where we are not required to keep it by law;
  • object to certain uses of your data, including marketing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the processing done before you withdrew it;
  • complain to the data protection authority in your country if you believe your rights have not been respected.

To exercise any of these rights, message us on Instagram at @qanitoon_. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time and in line with the law.

10. Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Third-party links

Our store may link to other websites and platforms, such as Instagram. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies separately.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our store with its "Last updated" date. Continuing to use our store after a change means you accept the updated policy.
